little jackie Paper
loved that rascal Puff
and brought him strings and sealing wax
and other fancy stuff
together they would travel
on a boat with billowed sail
Jackie's kept a look-out
perched on Puff's gigantic tail
noble kings and princes would bow
whenever they came
Pirate ships would lower their flags
when puff roared out his name
a dragon lives forever
but not little boys
painted wings and giant rings
make way for other toys
one grey night it happened
Jackie Paper came no more
and puff that mighty dragon
he ceased his fearless roar
his head was bent in sorrow
green scales fell like rain
Puff no longer went to play
along the cherry lane
without his lifelong friend
Puff could not be grave
so puff that mighty dragon
sadly slipped into his cave

杰奇佩柏再也没有来了
帕夫这只力大无比的龙
停止了它肆无忌惮的怒吼
它的头哀伤的垂下来
绿色的鳞片像雨一样的掉落下来
帕夫从此再也不去樱桃小径玩耍
失去了它一生的朋友
帕夫再也勇敢不起来
