Lentil Cake 。。。太费时费工了。

又是切丁,又是炒,又是磨。。又是捏,又是煎。。。花了我整整2小时。还不包括提前一天泡扁豆。。。

Lentil Cakes
2 cyellow onions; well chopped
1 clentils; uncooked
1/2 ccelery; finely chopped
1/2 cdiced carrot; finely chopped
2 csoft breadcrumbs
1    egg
3 tbsp oil
In a skillet, fry the onions with a small amount of olive oil. Cook them until they are browned and soft. This should take about 20minutes.
Stir occasionally and season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a medium saucepan, combine the lentils, celery, carrot, and salt to taste.
Add enough water so that the mixture is about three inches under water.
Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the lentils are soft.
This should take about half an hour. Once the lentils are done, pour them
through a strainer (do this over a saucepan so that you can keep the liquid for your stock).
Puree the lentils in a food processor until they are smooth. Adjust the amount of time you puree them to fit your "chunky"tastes. If the mixture is fighting the process, add a little broth.
In a saucepan, mix the lentil mixture and the onion and add half of the
breadcrumbs. Mix in the egg, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well and
allow to cool (to the point where you can handle the mixture with your
hands).
Form the mixture into 3-inch rounds. On a plate, pour the remaining breadcrumbs and roll the rounds in the crumbs, covering them completely.
Fry the rounds in batches, allowing you to turn them over so that they are brown on both sides.
Place the cooked cakes into a warm oven while you fry the others. Serve warm.

1 clentils; uncooked 1杯 扁豆(我提前一天浸泡,这样就不用炒太长时间)

2 csoft breadcrumbs 2 杯 面包渣(可以用过剩的面包,放入搅拌机,磨成粉末状)
1    egg 1个鸡蛋(无所谓大小啦)
3 tbsp oil 3 大匙 菜油
平底锅,放入少许橄榄油/菜油/人造黄油,有啥就放啥。开始炒洋葱直到透明,颜色发黄。差不多20分钟。 我就炒了10分钟。当中,根据个人喜好,可以适量放些盐和胡椒调味。
把泡过的扁豆,切好的西芹,胡萝卜放入一个中锅,入盐调味。然后加入水,要淹过菜,差不多过三寸。烧开。调到慢火,焖到扁豆软。差不多要30分钟。自己可以用汤勺感觉一下,一压,就棉了。
好,过滤,别浪费,把菜汁留下,等凉了,保鲜膜盖好,入冰箱。我隔天用它煮了扁豆汤配上蒜蓉包,搞定LG的午餐。
要是你有food processor,就把扁豆倒入,导成泥状。或是根据自己的爱好,留些粒状。这样吃起来比较有口感。没有的话,就用汤勺边炒边用些劲搅。也很容易搅碎的。
然后和炒好的洋葱混合,倒入一半,也就是一杯的面包渣,加上鸡蛋,盐胡椒调味。放凉一会。
用手捏成3寸圆饼状放入盘里,倒入剩下的面包糠。
备好锅,放油,加热到5-6分热,动手煎吧。

听着是有点繁琐. 但是不太讲究手艺, 所以基本上来说, 是一道很容易成功的菜.

我不太愿意LG老吃 薯条, 所以得变着法*骗*他.....他的最爱就是burger&fries.......这是我讨厌的junk food.   这也是道非常麻烦的菜。 从和面烤汉堡包到制作汉堡肉和薯条。。。更烦番。
