[–] throwaway2346237 6 Punkte 2 Stunden zuvor True. I live in Sweden, and chip-and-pin debit cards are used for everything except garage sales. I haven't touched filthy banknotes in months. Many cities encourage it because it makes robbery, theft, and begging so much harder. This means Swedes are used to thinking of money as numbers protected by a password, which is why I think bitcoin is going to make it bigtime here.

The last time I had to use cash was last time I was in Sweden... TL;DR: Sweden may be cool, but Norway is seven popped collars cool.

But debit cards make it easy for the government to track payment patterns so they can easily find out criminals and tax evaders. I doubt the Swedish government would want to lose that power which would happen people start using Bitcoins for transactions they don't want the government to know about. So expect them to crack down on it, more than governments in countries where people can use cash as an alternative.
