比赛简介
由中国日报社主办的第七届“一带一路”青少年英语演讲比赛秉承“让世界听到你的声音”的号召，汇聚海内外青少年，在英语演讲中交流互鉴，展示积极向上的多元文化，一起讲好“中国故事”。本次复旦大学校选赛旨在遴选5位不同国籍的优秀留学生选手代表我校参加第七届“一带一路”青少年英语演讲比赛的全国决赛，并有机会相关文化交流活动。

1998年1月1日-2009年12月31日前出生的非中国籍复旦大学学生，包括本、专科生及研究生。

校选赛形式
通过报名资格审核的选手将参加拟于2025年6月22日举行的校选赛初赛（线上）。比赛形式为3分钟即兴演讲，并回答评委提问。校选赛组委将遴选优秀留学生参加后续的校选赛决赛（已备演讲主题：As global citizens in the digital age, how can we overcome bias as we build a connected world?），具体比赛形式与时间另行通知，比赛将根据两轮比赛的综合表现决出特等奖、一等奖、二等奖、三等级若干。
组委将遴选出5位来自不同国家的选手，其参赛资格及作品将由全国赛组委进行复核，通过复核的选手将代表我校参加第七届“一带一路”青少年英语演讲比赛全国决赛。

Call for Participants Competing at the Fudan Trial of the Seventh Belt and Road Youth English-Speaking Competition

Introduction of the Competition
Upholding the motto of “Let the world hear your voice,” the Seventh Belt and Road Youth English-Speaking Competition, hosted by China Daily, is calling for young international talents to exchange opinions, show multicultural nature and tell China stories through English speeches. The Fudan Trial aims to recruit five excellent international students to compete in the national finals of the competition on behalf of Fudan University. Meanwhile, the selected students will also participate in a series of cultural exchange programs.

Eligibility of Participants
Any international students from all levels and majors of Fudan University born between January 1, 1998-December 31, 2009 are eligible.

Format of the Fudan Trial
The contestants who pass the eligibility check will be invited to the first round of the Trial on June 22, 2025 (online). The contestants will deliver a three-minute impromptu speech and answer immediate questions from the judges. The organizing committee of the Fudan Trial will select excellent candidates to participate in the second round of the Trial (prepared speech topic: As global citizens in the digital age, how can we overcome bias as we build a connected world?), the time and format of which will be announced in due time. The contestants will be awarded grand, first, second or third prize based on their performance in the two rounds.
The eligibility and works of the shortlisted contestants will then be under review of the national organizing committee. Those who pass the review will be invited to compete at the national finals of the Seventh China Daily Belt and Road Youth English-Speaking Competition.
