在今夏美国流行乐曲排行榜上，一首名为“美丽女孩”的新单曲高居榜首，异常火爆，
而这首歌的作者就是现年17岁的美国流行乐坛新星、说唱歌手西恩.金斯顿 sean kingston.
新单曲“美丽女孩”上周一直高居美国公告牌热门金曲100排行榜榜首，而且在其他23个国家也风靡一时，不能不说是个奇迹。
金斯顿出生于美国迈阿密，长于牙买加。金斯顿在接受采访时承认，这首歌基本上是基于他和这位负心女友的故事写出来的。不过金斯顿仍然对女友的背叛耿耿于怀，称自己“受伤太深”。受伤归受伤，虽然失去了女友，不过金斯顿因此“一曲成名”，也算是得大于失。
金斯顿以往的经历十分坎坷。14岁时因为妈妈入狱，他只能和姨妈相依为命。但自从金斯顿迷上说唱音乐后，便被姨妈扫地出门，
因为姨妈认为这是不良少年才干的事。金斯顿为此还有两天睡在汽车站，但这一切都没能阻挡金斯顿对音乐的执着。
后来，他向音乐制作人罗特姆求教，并向他寄去自己的作品。
在罗特姆的指点下，经过不懈努力，金斯顿终于有了今天的成就.
