take my breath away? 这个应该是惊讶的意思

I think it is dependent on the context.

Simple expressions could be "worried, disturbed, perturbed, anxious etc."

For instance, the mother is perturbed by the safety of her child after the earthquake.

p.s.: perturb is more in the direction "confused". What I want to say here, is more in the direction sad, deep sad

In my understanding, "catch my heart" could refer to the attractiveness of sth. It may indicate sth is so catching, appealing, and enchantingthat makes you absorbed.$汗$

"Perturb" sounds more like being bothered, upset, disquieted etc. To me, it doesn't express the feeling of grief.I think "torture" might be a better option. $害羞$

So you also think "heartbreaking" is ok. Actually I didn't think too much about this word, probably because this is just how I feel about the calamity. I feel this way, then I say it. What I was thinking is the word "perturb". What are you guys upstairs gonna say about this word?:)

Obviously I'm not an ace at it$汗$ . I just picked a word that is commonly used and reformed the sentence. So there should be a word that tells grief but is not desperate......$考虑$ 。 Oh my god, this is too much for me:o . I quit.

Which word do you think is more precise then?:)
