我用word写的，大学提供模板的。图片都是在用别的软件处理好，然后直接插入到想要的位置就可以了。

写公式，用过LaTeX以后，就不会想WORD了。
连做PPT都用LaTeX插件写公式。

对的，理工科是这么要求的，latex看上去还比word专业很多， 而且管理起来要方便很多。虽然刚上手有点不习惯，但是之后会节省很多时间，熟悉之后对以后写学术文章也很有好处。不难的，和html差不多

latex is also convenient for cross-references, table of contents, keyword indexes, bibliography entries... the software and all documentations are free. you just have to spend several hours to get started. sounds like an advertisement:)
