I guess,
& l+ N  k% g4 }) I1. pudding is the dessert after the main course/meal. Meat(such as steak)  is the main course/meal.
So, if you don't eat your main meal(chunky, difficult to digest)  first,  the waiter/waitress won't serve you the dessert.
" i# r6 I3 z2 s. S7 Y5 _. ethe lyrics MIGHT mean that if you(as students don't study hard), you won't get anything sweet from the life.

2. The lyrics is typical black English: double negative = negative (NOT positive). eg.. we don't need no education = we don't need education.

, w( O1 G2 i6 J( z2 e3. I did not spend time in research the background of this song,which could be interesting.

4. on surface,  the song is a defense for those drop-out kids. The society as a whole need lawyers and doctors,  as well as  ditch diggers.
