Ph.D. Position at the Department of Real Estate Finance,
University of Regensburg, Germany


The Department of Real Estate Finance at University of Regensburg, Germany is seeking highly qualified Ph.D. students through the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). Students in economics, finance, real estate or related fields are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to fully participate in our international research team and contribute qualified scientific publications.

The institute offers a very active research environment and excellent link to internal and external academic communities in the field of economics, finance and real estate. The head of department, Prof. Dr. Steffen Sebastian, is also director at the Center of Finance, University of Regensburg and Research Fellow at the Center for European Economic Research (ZEW), Mannheim. Corporation with these two institutes is possible.

Candidates are expected to have:
1        University master degree in economics, finance, econometrics, applied mathematics or related fields;
2        Excellent academic achievements;
3        Solid knowlege in either econometrics (STATA, R or similar) and/or programming (MATLAB, R, or similar);
4        Knowledge in real estate (optimal, not required);
5        Motivation and dedication in scientific research;
6        Strong communication and collaboration skills;
7        A good command of English. Basic knowledge of German would be optimal (not required).
