96 HOURS VISA ON ARRIVAL
With immediate effective, the Dubai International Airport Immigration department has released the following notice:
The 96 hours visa that is issued on arrival to nationals from countries mentioned in the Visa on arrival page will no longer be available. Instead, passengers must choose one of the following:
1. Book a Dubai Stopover hotel (subject to room availability) which includes a 96 hours visa on arrival.
2. Purchase a 96 hours visa on arrival (USD 50) from the Emirates Airport Services Desk, located at the Dubai Airport Arrival hall prior to Immigration. The passenger must have a confirmed hotel booking in the UAE. A copy of the hotel booking, e.g. fax copy or email print out from the hotel must be shown to the Emirates staff which will be verified by the Immigration Desk.
The visa is subject approval by the immigration authorities in Dubai only and the rules/policies are subject to change without any prior notice.
Citizens of the following countries are not eligible for the 96 hour visa on arrival:
Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Niger, and Yemen.
Important notes:
1. Passengers must hold a valid passport, acceptable at both countries i.e. transit and destination.
2. Passengers must be in possession of an onward flight booking and air ticket.
3. Passengers must leave Dubai to onward destination within a maximum of 96 hours from time of arrival.
4. Passengers that do not want to book a Dubai Stopover Hotel, but would like to make use of the 96 hours visas facility must have a pre-booked hotel accommodation in the UAE.
5. If passengers choose to book a Dubai Stopover Hotel on arrival, rooms are subject to availability.
6. Emirates Airline is held responsible and expected to take charge of its 96 hours sponsored passengers until their departure. |
