叶芝的诗:《Easter,1916》

叶芝的诗  "Easter,1916"。) x& q% e; H+ i1 d
5 X! q  r6 c) Q! ~' ~
坦白的说, 这首诗相对较长,据说叶芝在写作时精神处于困扰和迷茫的状态,起义领导者之一是其爱慕对象的丈夫,而他像一个通常温和的人那样既惋惜逝去的鲜活生命,又对暴力对其理想中和谐境界的破坏感到恐惧。诗中传达出一种不安、痛惜与怅惘。全诗抄录于下,有兴趣的读者可以仔细读两遍(不过这诗真的很赞,还是认真读读吧)。; y1 c, [, b8 \2 w

So sensitive his nature seemed,

A drunken, vainglorious lout.
5 ]; _1 J* l8 m0 K. JHe had done most bitter wrong3 K2 D  Q$ R+ v! F1 b- z
To some who are near my heart,
, i, ], I5 s  Y% d: s* Y, v7 d8 wYet I number him in the song;
( E+ @+ P/ e. u; ^2 ~, lHe, too, has resigned his part* m5 a7 V5 M/ b+ Z
In the casual comedy;
3 ~; P7 F  N& r2 I( Y% y" SHe, too, has been changed in his turn," S+ C, N. U6 A% y- [
Transformed utterly:4 z3 D  r" g  I. y
A terrible beauty is born.

To trouble the living stream.

The rider, the birds that range/ q+ T. x7 ^" q& q9 {% _1 S$ E$ E, Z
From cloud to tumbling cloud,
' _" s4 y/ F( j' `6 K) iMinute by minute they change;
2 H. Y4 _& {/ a. B# J% TA shadow of cloud on the stream( b( N. k9 ]& v0 V1 |
Changes minute by minute;
' ^) q" d; a1 RA horse-hoof slides on the brim,9 {& O! A9 @4 H5 B& H* G
And a horse plashes within it;  s6 x: c! B1 g" W
The long-legged moor-hens dive," O4 E/ Q1 ]$ j* R% G
And hens to moor-cocks call;) T( D8 J' m0 b% z: m- i
Minute by minute they live:
" z+ Z( r; D* M) {The stone's in the midst of all.; @5 n0 W& H  S0 D2 y8 V9 S) I7 |

That is Heaven's part, our part, ~+ c; r+ `( }+ z
To murmur name upon name,! {" |# E+ v% q/ E+ u: A5 N$ {
As a mother names her child
2 ^2 M0 F2 n4 }When sleep at last has come
' y" \$ N: ^" a. b% j2 LOn limbs that had run wild.8 [6 s* r* a3 \1 d3 `" a) m# L
What is it but nightfall?( O$ H! C7 j" L, }1 ]# r
No, no, not night but death;4 D6 T. I, f0 t( _) T
Was it needless death after all?% M3 q5 Y. V$ X; j' i
For England may keep faith7 a* G' i; I' M- p
For all that is done and said.
1 w6 E; q1 C" a# e* p9 OWe know their dream; enough2 H8 b6 J/ Q; X4 j+ m& e+ m
To know they dreamed and are dead;2 S7 d) |9 n" |" M; G& [& t0 P$ a
And what if excess of love
