PhD student in Agricultural Economics
Within the subproject “Innovations and Sustainability Strategies” of the Uplands Program (SFB 564), a research position is opening in the field of agricultural economics.
The research aims at increasing the efficiency of pesticide use by farm households in mountainous areas of northern Thailand. The prospective candidate will contribute to the development of new analytical methods and work intensively with stakeholders, such as farmers and extension services.
Candidates should have completed a MSc in agricultural economics and have an interest in quantitative methods. Fluency in English is a must. The position has a probation period of 6 months, after which the contract can be extended upon mutual consent.
